Valhalla, the halls where Gods and Heroes feast to await the arrival of Ragnarok, has fallen. Chaos descended upon the mortal realm of Midgard and humanity, what’s left of it, is assailed from all sides. However, the hope that remained in the world has brought to light a variety of unlikely heroes... the very people who will be shaping the future of Midgard... you! Head into the battlefield with your assembled army and turn the tide of battle in this exciting mobile MMOCCG, Valhalla Lost!

To start, the game will bring you through a series of tutorials, giving you the chance to learn the lay of the battlefield before actually going into combat. The controls and gameplay in this game are very intuitive and simple enough to learn. Generally, each player enters a game with 40 cards in total in the deck. You’ll first get to draw 5 random cards at the beginning and 1 card each in the subsequent turns. However, you could choose to mulligan the hand you’re given and get a fresh set of cards instead.

Cards in Valhalla Lost are very beautifully designed and drawn. There are many types of cards in this game, such as creatures, spells, wards, traps, and equipments (namely weapons and armor). Creature and spell cards are pretty much self-explanatory, but ward, trap and equipment cards are a tad bit special here. Trap cards are basically cards that can be triggered at a specific time, such as when an enemy plays a new creature card or when they use any of their current creature card to attack. This type of card is a very useful to make your opponent second guess his or her moves. You can have up to a maximum of 4 trap cards at any time during a game.

Ward cards are more protective in nature and usually provide your character or your creatures on the board with certain amount of buffs. You can only play up to 4 ward cards in a game. Equipments, on the other hand, usually offers your hero character with some nice boosts such as reduced damage taken or giving your hero attack power so he or she could attack. These cards may seem like an “extra” part of the game, but trust me, if you played these cards right, you could easily turn the tide of battle.

After the tutorial, you’ll be asked to download the full game pack, which will take quite a while, but it is definitely worth it if you’ve enjoyed the game so far. Once everything done, you’ll then get to see the game in its entirety. There are 2 game modes on offer in Valhalla Lost, one of which is the PvP-oriented Arena mode, while the other is the PvE-based Adventure mode. Adventure mode can be further separated into quests, dungeons, and trials, which are primarily boss fights. As the adventure is set in the mystical Norse world of Yggdrasil, you’ll be able to select a world to head into. New worlds are subsequently unlocked as you progress through the game.

You’ll have also access to your town in Valhalla Lost, where you can buy keys at the Marketplace, open new card packs at the Treasury Vault, or claim freebies and quest rewards at the Town Hall. There is even a Social section of the city where you can manage your list of friends in the game. Access to the Workshop will also be unlocked eventually where you can then dismantle or forge your current cards to obtain materials for other purposes and to make your current card stronger, respectively. You could also manage your collection of cards via the Collection tab. Let’s not forget about the many events Valhalla Lost has to offer too!

All in all, Valhalla Lost is a very entertaining and addictive MMOCCG that is unique in terms of its card types as well as its gameplay. Fans of collectible card games will definitely enjoy playing this game. If you happen to fall into this category, be sure to check out Valhalla Lost today!
