The Lord of Discord was long ago trapped in a trap and sealed away by the Spirits.

Welcome to the world of Spirit Guardian: Vanguard Rush a mobile MMORPG. With a near infinite amount of choices ahead of you there is a lot to look forward to. Choose from dozens of heroes and hundreds of special moves, combining them and their equipment to form your favourite team to free the Spirit Guardians.

While you will not have a character on screen yourself you will have a selection of heroes to choose from. This starts as a fairly simple selection that is clearly defined for you ie: tank, mage, etc. But shortly after you get through the excellent tutorial you will find yourself with more and more heroes offering to join your cause.

This will prove very valuable as each level has a selection of different enemies; that you will get to preview before choosing your team. Some of these enemies are affected by the different types of damage your heroes can do. This balance starts off small but soon becomes something you will like to keep an eye on. One of the advantages you will is that your equipment is not bound to one character but can be moved between them as you see fit.

Levelling up is a fairly smooth affair at the early stages and follows the typical experience upwards curve one would expect. Most of the experience you will get will be through the quest storyline as you venture forth and attempt to rescue the Spirit Guardians and locked the Lord of Discord away once more. Into each quest you will be draw from your collection of heroes, including rarer and more powerful characters. Thankfully your quest movement can be set to automatic leaving you with the more fun choice of when and where to use the special abilities.

These more powerful characters of course can be skipped to with real world money to buy the diamonds needed to advance straight to them. Otherwise there are daily quests and other little achievements to get which also reward the diamonds needed to eventually buy this improved equipment. But it takes until level 24 to unlock the store needed to take real advantage of this, thankfully level 24 won’t be long coming.

Of course as you start the game you will want to know that there is an end in sight but this is a true MMO, there will always be more. You can jump in a guild with other players to run harder dungeons and engage in lack scale world wide PVP.

You will have multiple daily quests and timed events to defeat and rewards to claim.
In the end Spirit Guardian: Vanguard Rush is a entertaining MMORPG with a gorgeous art style, plenty of content updates and a fun campaign story which will keep you coming back for more.
