Developed by Lilith Games, AFK Arena is an idle fighting RPG with a slice of strategy added. The game is set in the fictional world of Esperia, a land where demons and dragons exist in the realm of humans. Set out on an adventure across the world with your band of heroes to defend the humans from the onslaught of the evil monsters.

Start things off by setting up a team and putting them into formation to face the enemies. In the spirit of RPG, a typical team formation will have the strong, armoured units up front to clash with and hold back enemy units whilst your back liners, usually spell casters and rangers, will dish out a good serving of damage.

Every hero has his or her own unique skill set and brings a certain edge to the field when deployed. Be wary that some units have skills that will be used more efficiently if they are placed in a specific position in a team formation. Always remember to level up your heroes, as they can unlock new skills to reach their full potential on the battlefield!

When idle, your heroes will automatically engage enemy forces in battle without end. From their battles, you can reap the fruits of their labour by clicking on the treasure chest to retrieve all the accumulated loots. You can engage in stage battles that will award you with a handsome amount of coins, hero experience, account EXP, hero’s essence, and all manner of gears. Make this a priority whenever possible so that you will progress to harder areas where the idle loots are more rewarding.

Coins are probably the most important resource in the game, contributing to upgrading your gears and enhancing your heroes. It is up to you if you want to balance things out by raising everyone at the same time, although you would most likely be able to progress further by giving your damage dealers more love in upgrading.

Recruit heroes from four different factions, namely the Graveborn, Lightbearers, Maulers and Wilders, at the tavern using magic scrolls or diamonds. You can even choose to summon heroes from a particular faction only, which is very handy to narrow down the chance of getting the hero you want. Creating a team of heroes from various combinations may result in different types of bonuses, so make sure to look at the guide in-game when deciding on a team.

There are a few dungeon-type modes that you can explore aside from the main areas. Enter randomly generated Maze maps, where the paths change periodically to add another layer of challenge and excitement for players as they choose which path to continue. On the other hand, you can ascend the giant spiral of the King’s Tower, battling your way to the top, or venture into the dark ruins known as the Arcane Labyrinth, working your way through twisting paths to reach unimaginable treasures.
