Taptap Heroes is an idle RPG that introduces an interactive tap action along with the idle gameplay. In it, you find yourself in the continent of Mystia, home to countless heroes from the Alliance knights in their castles, the Horde warriors in their caves, the Elven mages in their forests, the Undead spirits in their tombs and the Holy beings in the heavens. Each faction has their eyes set on finding the power of creation and putting a stop to Freya, the queen of hell’s plans to take over the world.

A team line up consists of 3 front liners and 3 back liners. Typically, front liners are the first to get hit and tank incoming damage whereas back liners are the squishy damage dealers. An idle team will automatically engage waves of enemies without the player’s intervention. Heroes accumulate power by landing blows and receiving damage. When the power bar is full, the hero will unleash his or her own unique ability.

As your account level increases, you can unlock more slots in your idle team to place heroes and gain more rewards. Rewards are also generated based on the idle stage’s possible drops, exp rate and coin rate, which becomes better the further the stage you idle in. Item drops, coins, XP potions and account experience points are accumulated up till 8 hours, and the player can choose to collect them any time they want. Be wary of the illusive goblins who will try to steal your idle rewards. Tap on them to engage in a boss battle and get a bunch of rewards in return.

During idle battle, you can speed up the process by tapping to command your familiar to attack and assist your heroes in battle. Each idle stage has a required number of waves to be cleared before you can proceed to the next stage. When you reach a boss stage, clearing the necessary waves will unlock the boss battle. Boss battles are tougher fights that can reward you with a good amount of coins, gears, and even hero shards.

There are various means to recruit a new hero for your team. Head on over to the Altar to summon new heroes when you need them. Common summon chest requires a silver key to summon 1 to 5* heroes, whereas Grand summon chest requires a gold key or gems to summon 3 to 5* heroes. Another way to obtain a hero is to collect their shards, and exchange for the hero when you have enough shards.

To be able to progress further, it is vital to upgrade and improve your heroes. You can level up heroes using coins and XP potions, and equip them with weapons, armors, and accessories. To forge higher star rating gears, go to the Blacksmith and trade in multiple copies of your lower star gears.
